About the event

We are headed back to Joshua Tree! This time, we will be hiking and exploring caves with a professional guide (all equipment is included) and dive into astronomy using telescopes under the dark desert sky. Camping is optional - but so much fun with other homeschool families!

Schedule

Monday, October 7th: Check-in to the campsite at 1pm

Tuesday, October 8th: 3pm-9pm Caving and Astronomy

Wednesday October 9th: Check out by 12pm

About the campsite: Sheep Pass Group Campground is centrally located within Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California and is easily accessible to hiking trails and rock climbing routes. It is one of three group campgrounds in the park. Towering rock formations and uniquely-shaped Joshua trees surround the facility. Sheep Pass is very close to many hiking trails, popular rock climbing routes and a central location for sightseeing within the park.

We will be driving a few minutes to the trailhead for the cave systems, return to the campground for dinner (bring your own), and then start the astronomy portion around the campsite area.

Photos will be available on our website from the trip for easy download.

Registrants will receive more details, two weeks before the event.

There are a few ticketing options. Please read carefully below and let us know if you have any questions.
