Mission to Mars Team Challenge & Day at the Museum

This is going to be an exciting full day of team challenges, robotics, coding, and hands-on space science!

Students will have the opportunity to be a part of two missions to mars to try to complete the assigned challenges as a team. They will have the opportunity to be a part of the spacecraft crew as well as the team in the mission control room, working towards the same goal.

On the second half of their day, they will be guided through the museum and will visit four stations learning about space science with unique hands-on activities. One portion of this tour is a visit a computer lab where they have their own computer and will learn robotics through coding with a fun end-goal! They will also dive into another hands-on activity that will be determined based on the weather. They will have four stations of 30-minutes each.

An "Everything You Need to Know" email will be sent out about a week before the mission from our email address hfadventurecommunity@gmail.com

Notes:

CAL-PACS STUDENTS: Please select the Cal-Pacs ticket and your school will be invoiced. No payment is necessary from the families of Cal-Pacs.

*Parents - one parent ticket to the museum is included in the price of the student ticket. During the 2-hour Mission to Mars, due to space limitations, you are welcome to explore the museum, have lunch at the restaurants or enjoy the shopping area just outside of the science center. Joining us on the tour of the museum in the second half is optional. You may also choose to drop your student off with HFAC educators for the day.

*We have two groups scheduled for the day. One group will do the mission to mars in the a.m. and the museum and robotics activity after lunch. You will receive your schedule one week before the adventure.
